Example 3: Preparation of 2-5 (S){2-oxo-3-[4-(3-oxo-morpholin-4-yl)-phenyl)-oxazolidin- 5-ylmethyI}-isoindole-l,3-dione (III)60 gms of 4-[4-(5-chloromethyl-2-oxo-oxazolidin-3-yl)-phen l]-mophiholin-3-one , potassium phthalimide (40 g) and Nu,Nu-dimethyl formamide (400 ml) were charged into a clean and dry 4 neck R.B. flask.
