EXAMPLE 13 Preparation of 5,6-dihydroxyisoindoline hydrobromide 3.54 ml of 48% hydrobromic acid was added to 500 mg (2.79 mmol) of 5,6-dimethoxyisoindoline, and the mixture was refluxed for 3 hours under stirring.
